Forty-plus years ago, Sandy embarked on a lifelong adventure when she joined hands with her equally intrepid partner, Phil Johnson. Together, they have forged a path brimming with excitement and purpose. As devoted parents to five remarkable daughters, each with their own growing families, the Johnson household is a testament to love, laughter, and cherished memories.
However, Sandy's influence extends far beyond her immediate kin. Having spent years in youth ministry across various locations—Fremont, Ohio; Auburn Hills, Michigan; Warsaw, Indiana; Lancaster, Pennsylvania; Columbus, Ohio; and Orlando, Florida—she has touched the lives of countless young individuals whom she affectionately calls her own.
Sandy's nurturing spirit and compassionate guidance have left an indelible mark on each young person fortunate enough to cross her path.
As a wife, a mother, and a Pastor's wife, Sandy's life has been a series of gripping highs and lows, arduous challenges and exhilarating triumphs, and bittersweet trials and abundant blessings. In every twist and turn, she draws strength and resilience from her profound relationship with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

With 40 years of marriage and ministry experience, we have journeyed through six churches and diverse industries across five states, touching the lives of thousands along the way.
Our mission has remained steadfast: "To Influence and Impact as many as possible by helping them discover their Creator's purpose." In 2008, we founded Coaching Some Inc., now known as Awesome Life Coaching, to fulfill this vision.
Phil, an author, mentor, coach, and speaker, guides individuals through a transformative journey. He helps them escape the confines of a life they weren't meant for and rediscover God's design for their true purpose.
Sandy has a heart for serving and empowering women in ministry. Her nurturing approach helps them heal, embrace God's love, and step into their full potential.

God has transformed our lives, home, work, and community…
God has taken us on a path of transformation and impact. We have been in ministry for 40 years - not all those years were spent in churches. Our adventure began working with teens. Soon that led to serving parents, boards, and whole congregations. Then we began to serve organizations and businesses. As God created transformation in our lives, we immediately began to share with anybody who would listen how God could do the same for them. You can use the title coach, mentor, pastor, teacher, or disciple-maker... it all has the same basic idea - sharing with others how God changed your life and how He can do the same for you.
Our company, Coaching SOME Inc, began as a step of obedience to follow Jesus where He leads...
It was after twenty-five years of ministry in churches, when we began the second phase of our adventure. In 2008 we founded Coaching SOME Inc. Together with our five daughters we set off for Orlando, Florida, to begin a new phase of our adventure. Little did we know the challenges God would guide us through and the transformations that God had in store for us when we moved into Winter Garden on 9-11-2008. The transformations in our lives came by way of economic downturns, working in new environments and careers, health issues, pandemics, financial hardships, family/marriage issues, and the list goes on... Alongside of each of these came the many miracles of God.
It wasn’t long until we knew that coaching would be a permanent part of our lives and ministry...
After God began to reveal that my plans didn't align with His plans, I began to tell myself that I had nothing to offer. It's a long story how God used my ranting in prayer and a message in the sky from a skywriter to ask me the same question He posed to Moses, "What's that in your hand?" I had two things, a Bible, and a house. We opened our home to anybody who would come for a dinner and a Bible study. Soon we had many Disney and Universal employees coming to listen and share. This led to an open-door policy and many hours of coaching even though at the time I didn't call it that.
Our company, Coaching SOME Inc, has expanded its influence and impact with Awesome Life Coaching and Safe Harbor Ministries.
To better communicate our business and ministry, we have expanded in two directions. First, Awesome Life Coaching is personal and professional coaching for faith-based leaders. Using the foundation of Phil's book, "Awakening! The Dreamer's Quest" and the 7-step Awesome Life Coaching System we are reaching many more. Sandy has also begun to formalize her ministry by launching Safe Harbor Ministries which is reaching ministry spouses by coaching them into healing and stepping into their full potential.
